Careers at Dragonfruit

Make videos that make people smarter.

Dragonfruit is a YouTube agency, full-stack studio, and IP development lab all in one. We spend our time building organic YouTube channels for the world's best educational creators and mission-driven brands — and we're looking for the right people to come help us do it.

Why we exist

Compete with the bullsh*t.

Dragonfruit's long-term mission is to advance human flourishing by changing the way people share and consume information.

We don't believe we can solve any of humanity's biggest problems — climate change, wealth inequality, corruption — if our information systems are run by profit-driven algorithms.

Unlike other social agencies or YouTube businesses, we reject a creator economy that only trades viewers' time and attention for rapid-fire dopamine. We see views and subscribers not as an end in themselves, but as a means of increasing human flourishing.

YouTube is now the second-largest social platform, the second-largest search engine, and holds the largest share of TV viewership of any platform. How its content is made has real consequences for society. Our first step is building, empowering, and amplifying educational YouTube brands through high-impact attention.

Our 10-Year Plan

  1. Step 1 — Build the networkBring together the most talented, purpose-driven creators, creatives, and brands to become the largest producer and distributor of viral-educational content on the platform.
  2. Step 2 — Original IPUse our expertise and production capabilities to generate a slate of premium original educational IP — the HBO Original Documentaries of YouTube.
  3. Step 3 — Talent agency for educatorsLaunch the first management company / talent agency for educators, growing real experts, scientists, practitioners, and activists into household names.
  4. Step 4 — Research instituteLaunch a non-profit research institute to study human attention and learning and improve global information systems.

What we do

Universities have departments. We have niches.

We don't spread thin chasing every trend. We go deep in a handful of worlds — learning each one well enough to make work experts respect and audiences can't stop watching.

Who we are

Meet Our Founders

Adrian and Michael, co-founders of Dragonfruit

Adrian| CEO

I studied psychology, theater, and screenwriting at USC. What pulled me in across all three was the same thing — the intersection of art and visual media with real human experience.

After graduating, I joined the Peace Corps and spent two years teaching in a rural high school in the Dominican Republic. It cemented how much I cared about education and educational outcomes — and how broken public education systems can be, in the DR and the US alike.

Back in LA I chased screenwriting, got into the Hollywood pipeline, and hit the same wall: an old, bureaucratic system where almost no one cared about quality or impact. So I gave up the respectable path and figured I'd just write indie scripts and be a barista.

Then my friend Michael Lim asked me to write scripts for a YouTube channel. I didn't even know educational YouTube existed. It was storytelling and visual media, but genuinely educational and valuable, and a single script could reach millions instead of 30 kids in a classroom. I got obsessed.

Dragonfruit grew by referral, channel after channel. Now we have a team of over 100 and more than 15M subscribers under management. But from day one we had one rule that never wavered: only educational creators, only educational content. That single constraint became our edge and is why we're where we are today.

Michael| Advisor

I started out teaching high-school math through Teach for America, then spent a couple of years as a management consultant at Bain & Company — where I became fascinated by the creator economy and the idea that individuals, not institutions, could educate the world without anyone's permission.

So I took the leap into content. Mr. Beast hired me to launch Beast Philanthropy, and as creative director I built it from the very first video to 8 million subscribers — giving away laptops, running disaster relief, and building wells in Cameroon along the way.

I co-founded Dragonfruit with my best friend Adrian, then joined Alex and Leila Hormozi to lead content for acquisition.com. We grew Alex's channel from 250K to 3.6 million subscribers and helped him set the Guinness World Record for the fastest-selling non-fiction book of all time.

Today I'm Chief of Staff and VP of Media at Owner, a billion-dollar platform helping local restaurants compete with the big chains. I advise Dragonfruit on everything that journey taught me: do big things worth talking about, point your best people at the real constraints, and stay obsessively close to the work.
